About Us

Brand philosophy

The Tea Horse Road is a symbol of China's tea culture, a vital connection between history and modernity. Though the journey was arduous, it imbued tea with countless stories and an unparalleled sense of heritage. Today, being in Europe, enjoying an authentic cup of Chinese tea remains a challenge. Yet, for this very reason, we are dedicated to honoring this legacy by bringing high-quality Chinese tea and its rich culture to people far and wide.

Our mission is to help people drink good tea, understand tea, appreciate tea wares and learn the art of tea, immersing them in the essence of Chinese culture. Through carefully selected teas and beautifully crafted tea wares, we provide not only an exceptional tea-drinking experience but also a tribute to traditional craftsmanship and natural aesthetics.

We host various offline tea-related events, both public and private, ranging from intimate tea gatherings to larger cultural workshops. Whether it's a refined private tea tasting or a themed cultural sharing session, our aim is to create opportunities for people to connect with Chinese tea culture, experiencing the elegance of tea and tea wares.

Our vision is simple: through tea, we hope to help more people find inner peace; through tea wares and tea, we aim to inspire a deeper appreciation for the infinite charm of Eastern aesthetics and lifestyle.

Me hosting a tea ceremony

About me

I was born in the picturesque Zhejiang Province, a land renowned for its lush mountains and exquisite green tea. And tea has always been an everyday companion in my life—no different from rice, oil, or vinegar. As a child, my earliest memories of tea were defined by the bitter taste of caffeine lingering from brewed leaves after trips to the mountains to pick tea with family.

It wasn't until 2022, back in Hangzhou, that I truly experienced tea in a new light. I had the privilege of meeting passionate tea lovers and attending the revered Jingshan Tea Banquet, hosted by the Jingshan Temple in Hangzhou. The ceremony left a profound impression on me — the reverence, the grace, the subtle elegance in each step of the ritual. It led me to explore the rich history of Song Dynasty tea traditions, particularly the poetic art of diancha (whisking tea). This moment opened the door to a deeper understanding of tea. The grace, the serenity, the hidden poetic beauty in the seemingly ordinary act of tea brewing—it was a revelation.

By hosting tea gatherings in Germany, I aspire to share exceptional Chinese teas, meaningful stories, and heartfelt cultural exchanges. Through tea, I believe we can foster understanding, mindfulness, and connection.
